About

Hi! My name is Kim and I am so happy that you are here. I am a proud wife and mom of two beautiful children with one more on the way. Cooking and eating great food has always been an obsession of mine. My passion began as a teenager with my love for binge watching the Food Network. I was watching Emeril Lagasse and Ina Garten while the other 15 year olds were watching Laguna Beach. In high school I started cooking for my family, collecting numerous cookbooks and immersing myself anyway I could.

I completed undergraduate and graduate school getting my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and worked in the field for 8+ years. I mainly treated patients who had dysphagia (or swallowing disorders) in hospitals and nursing homes. I worked with individuals who were NPO (nothing by mouth) to strengthen their swallowing muscles in order to be able to eat again or I modified diets to maintain their ability to do so safely. I took great pride in helping people be able to eat again because eating and food meant so much to me. We really take something so basic for granted until we lose it.

I am not professionally trained but I have learned a lot from cooking at home over the years and love to share my passion for creating delicious dishes at home with others. I hope to be able to inspire a mom needing a fresh new recipe, the college student or recent graduate in their new kitchen, someone who needs to make an impressive date night meal or just anyone looking to enjoy something delicious that they can proudly say was homemade.

Take a look around and I hope you find something you love.
